Summer Jam (f.k.a. July 4th Jam) 2020

Facilitated by Sheila Skemp & Samantha Burnell

June 30, 2020 - 5:00pm to July 5, 2020 - 3:00pm

Programming category:

Earthdance’s annual Summer Jam is about abundance and play. One of the biggest events of the year, the Summer Jam averages 180–200 people and takes place across all corners of the land. Sunning, sauna-ing, quarry swimming, frisbee playing, tenting, resting on the earth, children squealing, packed and sweaty studio dancing, performances, bonfires, and all kinds of indoor and outdoor play...the Summer Jam invites a total, multigenerational celebration of life, family, and community. The Summer Jam is particularly geared toward anyone looking to experience a festival atmosphere, as well as to families looking for a variety of offerings to suit all ages. The Summer Jam includes a Youth Program available from 10am–1pm time each day for youth ages 1–16.

Facilitators bios and sub-theme coming soon.

Our Community Ethos
During all Earthdance workshops and jams, participants contribute 1–2 shifts (typically Meal Cleans) and participate in a Final House Clean on Sunday. This is to enable a process of collective care for the space, where participants and staff work side-by-side to establish a shared sense of home. If, for whatever reason, you are not able to participate, please email
