Earthdance co-founder and community member Penny Schultz leads us in a community sing. All skills levels are welcome. Sing: 5:30-7pm | Potluck: 7-8pm
A SING is an opportunity for any and all ages to gather for ‘a cappella’ harmony singing. We sing in the acoustically beautiful Earthdance Dance Barn, from 5:30-7pm, followed by a potluck supper. Songs will be taught by rote, so reading music is not necessary to participate. Music includes gospel songs, English country songs, songs from the African continent, Israeli peace songs, unusual rounds, and other traditional songs celebrating the earth, love, and community. A SING is an emotionally, physically, and musically connected celebration, and an exhilarating experience.
The SINGS are child-friendly events. Though the music is geared towards adults, adolescents and younger children are encouraged to participate. Restless children can go with an adult to the adjacent dance barn to run around. Also, the grounds are fun and safe places for children to play.
