Ricardo Frota

Ricardo Frota’s music reflects his diverse style and improvisational approach to sound. He draws inspiration from African, Native American, indigenous peoples, South American, and Brazilian music. Ricardo's performances highlights the use of traditional rhythm instruments, electric violin, as well instruments made of recycled and natural found objects. Most importantly, he is inspired by a bird singing, the wind through the leaves, the sounds of a running brook, or the crackle of a fire.
