Jovanina Pagano

Jovanina Pagano began her explorations in dance and movement as a competitive gymnast and subsequently as a gymnastics coach. As an adult, she has been a dedicated student and teacher of Contact Improvisation, Afro-Haitian dance, Iyengar Yoga, and Body-Mind Centering. In 2002, Jovanina founded Bared Soles, a dance company dedicated to the creation of dance events and workshops for enthusiastic dancers of all ages and abilities. As a teaching artist, she has shared her love of dance and yoga with the New York City public and private schools, St. John the Divine, Heifetz International Music Institute, Jackson Hole Dancer’s Workshop, Key West Dance Company, Omega Teen Camp, and the City-Wide Youth Opera. Jovanina is a former member of the Earthdance Board of Directors, and she currently co-produces the dance workshop series at the Peaceable Barn Dance Center in Redding, CT.
