LEVI GERSHKOWITZ is a multi-instrumentalist and improvisational performer. The music he creates stems from a mirrored ear held to the natural world, as well as personal relationships he holds dear with instrument builders around the world and the stories their rare work carries. Since 2015, he has embarked on an exploration of HandPan/Pantam and other Hang-inspired instruments, seeking unique pairings of these enchanted sound sculptures with traditional Turkish instruments, cello, singing bowls and others.

NATE SHAFFER is a freelance musician and educator living in the Boston area. Despite earning a degree from Brandeis University in classical piano performance & composition, he specializes in musical improvisation. In addition to performing original music with bands (Strawberry Machine, Strange Changes), he has worked as a music director at ImprovBoston since 2013. With IB, he has played piano in more than 300 improv shows, for audiences large and small across New England, as well as New York, and in Chicago. Whether scripted or improvised, art depends on the artists ability to make inspired and grounded choices. With rich experiences as an actor, meditator, vocalist, pianist, composer, guitarist, and percussionist, his improvisational sensibilities connect him to the playful, powerful, and beautiful possibilities of the present moment.
