With Aaron Brando
"One of the most touching elements I have noticed is the collective craving to continue to see and be seen throughout the quarantine. I have designed a three-phase score that highlights this aspect. In the score we will embrace a presence of witnessing and moving akin to the non-performative and deeply felt states within the Authentic Movement practice."

As you can imagine, Earthdance is facing a lot of financial uncertainty as a result of COVID-19. We are offering Earthdance LIVE as a donation-based class with the intention of providing a space for all to come together as a community, regardless of financial ability. We ask that those who are able help keep Earthdance going during this tumultuous time by donating generously as part of our COVID-19 Appeal. Suggested donation: $5–$500.
Our stellar technical crew will be supporting throughout the class & talkback / potluck. If you have questions about how to install Zoom on your device, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (413) 634-5678.
Class Score from Brando:
- Phase I = We “tune in and turn around” arriving into our solos with our computer screens turned away from our visual perspective. We return to our screens for a brief reflection together.
- Phase II = We have another movement solo with some seeds from our previous phase, this time with video on and various people from the class being highlighted throughout. People can choose to either move or witness. Everyone who chooses to be available via video could at some point be highlighted. The idea is to move as if you are being witnessed. We then return and have a brief reflection together about the different experiences between Phases I & II.
- Phase III = In trios, we use breakout rooms. Each person in the trio gets the opportunity to move and be witnessed by the other two. There will be time set aside to reflect with your trio.
- Then we return to the main room and reflect together about the different experiences between Phases I & II & III. This leads into our Earthdance “kitchen” sharing time.
