Background: During a contemplative walk designed to tune participants to the land/forest/earth at Earthdance, I found myself drawn to this part of the forest, which was not often visited. I found a number of beautiful stone outcroppings, each with a unique energetic imprint, which felt like sacred sites sending an invitation or message. The message was something like: “this land and its energetic field have more to offer this community. There is an abundance here waiting to be received.” And I found myself imagining a path connecting these sites. Through many more visits I started to systematically identify the sites and plot a path connecting them. It took many visits, with the help of Aitabé, to clean the sites of debris and create the trail.
Invitation: Enjoy this new trail, which I am tentatively calling “Path to Wholeness.” Take some moments of silence, subtle listening, and reflection as you feel called. Please bring your best self and leave no trace, as you pause, pray, play, ponder, picnic, or commune. Below I offer some words to support your journey through the six main sites, if you think such a guide will enrich the arc of your experience. Let us know what comes to you, and what gifts you receive!

Site 1. Green Spirits Gate
Births, beginnings, thresholds.
Enter with reverence. Sense into radiance.
Start slowly—a stillness in the rapids.
Set an intention. Or release a fixation.
The whole is contained in the beginning.
What mystery calls you in?
Site 2. Faun’s Lookout
Rest with moss and stone.
Youth gathers potential, eyes wide open.
Memories and futures find you there.
What has shaped you?
What wants to be revealed?
What gets left behind?
Site 2.5 (no name)
Pause and wonder.
Small miracles along the way.
Site 3. Serpent Ridge
Let mother dragon’s playful energy
draw you into youthful motion and close observation.
The lover’s exploration of relationship, identity, choice, and power.
Dance of polarities, union of opposites.
Site 4. Village Lane
Life and its choices stretch out before you.
Work, play, and love,
Peruse the territory, find your way, choose your place.
Solitude, symposium, or surprise.
Watch the world or co-create a scene.
Where do I belong?
Gather it all into your bag.
Site 5: Council of Stones
Now is the time for things of gravity.
Gather close for difficult decisions.
Discernment. Pruning. Compromise.
Honest gazes to fill our hearts.
Let love, ground, and wholeness guide you.
Site 6. Whale Wall
Grandmother, Grandfather, hold our prayers.
Merge with mammoth open mystery.
Ask for forgiveness, offer repair.
Surrender to the tiny and the vast.
Receive new instructions. Hold them tenderly.
Exit: Running water
Return with gratitude and blessings.
