Hello everyone and warm greetings in this final month of 2021!

We are thrilled to announce the return of our Artistic Residential Retreats (ARR). We initiated these last year and they were well received. The ARR is a time to explore your creative processes and practices within a small group and a closed container. We are offering 2 different dates in the new year. January 23rd - February 4th, 2022 or February 6th - February 18th, 2022. Please see below for more details and how to apply.

You also might have seen that we rescheduled our Town Hall with the new Executive Director, Daniel Hayes. This event will now be Virtual and take place on Sunday, January 23, 2022 - 4:30 pm ET. For more information, please see below.

We know that Covid is still with us and the challenges are real. We continue our commitment to being informed as we plan on-site events and look towards 2022. To do this, we are going to need your help to support Earthdance in raising $60,000 by December 31, 2021.

Lastly, we are saying goodbye to Amii LeGendre and Luke Anderson as members of the Board of Directors and are excited to share that Anne Bloom is stepping in as President of the Board. Thank you Amii and Luke for all you have given and offered of yourselves. We appreciate you!

Virtual Town Hall - RESCHEDULED

January 23, 2022 - 4:30pm ET

We are excited to invite you to join us virtually for an inaugural Town Hall meeting on Zoom, rescheduled from December.

This will be a first focused gathering with our new executive director Daniel J. Hayes and it will be a space for him to present himself and share some of his vision for taking Earthdance forward. The board will also use the opportunity to update the community on where Earthdance stands as it navigates through the uncertain waters of the pandemic.

The board and Daniel will further speak to the themes of consent and safety during Earthdance and rental events and what steps are being taken to improve our skills and structures on those fronts. Also, it will be a place to acknowledge and give thanks to those people who have been holding the ship afloat this last year, some of whom are stepping back.

We really hope you decide to join us to mark this hopeful new beginning. We also plan to share some of the same material during the Winter New Year’s Jam with those who are attending.

2-week residential retreats with a small group of artists to inspire and nurture your creativity and focus.

The Artistic Residential Retreat (ARR) is an incredible opportunity to dive into your creative research. This extended artistic retreat program offers the beauty and solace of Western Massachusetts and the facilities of Earthdance with focused time and space for your personal creative process.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to soak in the energy and nature of Earthdance as it continues to be an ideal setting to cultivate and focus on who you are as an artist and build your practice/creation/work. Whether you are a mover, writer, composer, videographer/filmmaker, or more, ARR is an opportunity and space to nurture your creative self while living on site with a small group of other retreatants practicing clear Covid safe protocol together. In these unique times, this residency offers a chance to soak in nature, spark imagination and creation, and be nourished by a contained focused environment.

Help Earthdance Raise $60,000 this Fall

As you might know, Dr. Daniel J. Hayes has just started his role as the new Executive Director of Earthdance and he is looking to shake things up to find the sustainability that Earthdance is so much needing. While programming is still at a minimum due to the pandemic, his first focus is on structural and governance innovation. With a background in Cooperativist and Sociocratic organizations, he wishes to explore ways to increase community ownership and engagement.

We have also finally completed our renovations and are very excited about the look and feel of the revamped farmhouse and studios. This and the slowly shifting pandemic landscape have allowed for a restarting of Earthdance programming. We are excited about the diverse activities we are planning for 2022. We look forward to welcoming you back to this place you may experience as home, community, where you fell in love, found your true dance, or watched the morning sun move across the floor.

This year we are asking your support to help us raise $60,000 by December 31 to offset our general operating costs and help us to reopen at full capacity.
