Join us for a special evening of performance by Earthdance Creator-In-Residence (CIR) Stephanie Gottlob.
Dancing Through the Earth: somatic movement improvisations across the biomes of North America
This creative movement work by Stephanie Gottlob will be live improvisational performance and somatic explorations based on her experiences living, improvising, exploring inner felt-senses and creative process within the various Biomes of North America (mixed deciduous forest, freshwater lake, arctic tundra). For the past five months Stephanie has been working creatively in these outdoor landscapes exploring how felt-senses, creative choices and natural processes lead to self-expression and instant composition. The evening will include movement, video, photos, and sound.

Currently Stephanie has left her studio in Toronto. She has bought a truckcamper and has been following a personal journey to improvise, explore, embody and investigate felt senses, nature’s qualities, movement improvisation and creative process within the various Natural biomes of North America. She has explored the Deciduous Forest biome and the Freshwater biome while living in a remote hut on a lake in Ontario as well as the Arctic Tundra biome in the Yukon. She plans to continue to explore more biomes such as the desert, grasslands, marine and river wetlands, and boreal forests.
