Each of us has a story to tell. These stories are always a mixture of the imaginary, the wishful, and the real. Some of us are gifted storytellers, but it is not always easy translating our stories from the written word to a performativeform. This workshop will focus on short task based exercises designed to harvest our personal histories using writing, movement and installation. We will juxtapose our histories with an assemblage of found texts, images, andsounds in order to discover the link between what has come before to what is possible to come. Based on the exercises of Goat Island, Vsevolod Meyerhold, Anne Bogart, and Rhodessa Jones.
