Thoughts from Matt LaSalle: April Work Weekend & Skill Share Week

Matt LaSalle, Operations Director, shares his thoughts on this year's Work Weekend and Skill Share Week, continuing on through this Thursday, May 2nd!

The (annual) April Work Weekend is a great time to come experience Earthdance in all its glory - from volunteerism, to community building, to jamming and playing! It is also time for us all to come together for cooperative visioning about the future of Earthdance, as well as to hear about the present state of Earthdance, and to reflect on what has brought us this far.

Personally, this will be my second annual April Work Weekend. I can say from my own experience that last year's event was truly a gift, which really helped me to practice and ingrain the core values here at Earthdance.

We are also investing a lot of time and energy into the new bi-annual Skill Share Week, directly following the work weekend. This is a time for Earthdance community members, in tandem with current ED staff, to come and share their vast skill-sets with others. For a nominal donation to help Earthdance to cover our operational costs, we invite you all to come and avail yourself of this unique opportunity to learn from your peers about artisanship, farming and gardening, and community building practices, not to mention of course, the usual assortment of jams and somatic learning opportunities. What a great way to make a positive impact in the world - sharing positive and creative skills with one another!

Please come and participate - have your own first or one-hundred-and-first Earthdance experience - and then stay for an exciting week of sharing skills of creative living!
