Time Lapse Video by AIR James Cunningham

During the E|MERGE 2013 Interdisciplinary Artist Residency, Australian movement artist James Cunningham stayed through to work on his outside time-lapse slow movement videos. Throughout his ten-day residency, James made six videos of himself slowly moving outside among the trees and inclined snow-covered wood. His camera takes a high-resolution digital image every five seconds, as he moves incrementally. After standing or walking outside for up to two hours, what results is a forty-five seconds to minute-long video of up to eight-hundred photographs shown one right after another. On his last day as an AIR, James invited everyone at Earthdance, including the 35 E|MERGE artists, to make an appearance in his final time-lapse as he "walks" down the hill from Nine Mountain. Please enjoy.
