The volunteer program at Earthdance is an enriching experience in Earthdance's community living and collaborative research into improvisation, somatic & interdisciplinary arts. Through the live-work environment, volunteers deepen their understanding of interpersonal dynamics, engage in somatic & creative opportunities, and develop professional skills in running various aspects of an arts-based non-profit organization.
Earthdance seeks self-driven volunteers who are willing to take direction and are enthusiastic about seeing projects to completion. The Volunteer Program runs seasonally: Summer (June–August), Fall (September–November), Winter (December–February), and Spring (March–May). Volunteers-in-Residence arrive and depart together as a cohort to facilitate organizational flow of Earthdance tasks & activities, as well as the opportunity to build lasting relationships.
Earthdance is currently seeking Volunteers-in-Residence for Fall 2019.
Volunteership includes room & board, complimentary jams & workshops as available, access to Earthdance studios, guest privileges, and community development opportunities.
We encourage you to take the time to answer the application questions as honestly and thoughtfully as possible. The process will assist you in setting your personal intentions for your journey here, as well as help us structure a solid crew for Earthdance to be continually well cared-for. Women, People of the Global Majority, LGBTQIA+ folks, and/or those differently abled are encouraged to apply.
The application does not guarantee residency. We receive many volunteer applications, so please understand that we may not be able to respond to each one individually. You will be notified by an Earthdance Staff member if we are able to offer you a telephone interview for a volunteer position.
