Earthdance Seasonal Staff Program

The Earthdance Seasonal Staff Program is loosely divided among the seasons in three to four month intervals, offering its members an opportunity to immerse in a community focused in the movement and improvisational arts in an alternative environment to the urban landscape. The dynamic schedule of events allows seasonal staff to interact and co-habitate with dancers, artists and performers from all over the world. Volunteers are the main support of the operation of Earthdance, working 25 hours per week in a variety of assigned tasks including housekeeping, office assistance, cooking and grounds maintenance. In exchange, seasonal staff receive:

  • Complimentary room (shared) and board.
  • Use of dance studios and other Earthdance facilities (when not in use by the rental groups).
  • Free participation in community events (jams, performance nights, etc).
  • Free 5-day event jams.
  • Significant discounts on workshops.
Interested individuals will need to fill out an application. Earthdance uses an evaluation system consisting of interview, review and consensus by core staff members in order to finalise decisions amongst canidates. We are currently accepting applications for 2008. Due to the volume of applicants and the unpredictable nature of Earthdance, please respect we do not make confirmations until 1-2 months prior to the new season.

Individuals with backgrounds in computer-tech, carpentry, electrical and/or plumbing are encouraged to apply.

Please fill out an application and either e-mail it or send it to:

    Earthdance
    252 Prospect St.

Please also send a copy of your resume.
